The Aztec Empire also known as the Aztec Triple Alliance was an empire ruled by indirect means. An empire that was ethnically diverse but didn't exude supreme control over its territories. They relied on a tribute system that allowed these conquered lands to pay tribute unlike the traditional European empires that had a single system government. They are well known for their art and structures which we tried to emulate in our tie. The Aztec capital city was conquered sometime in 1521 by Hernan Cortes and his allies. Subsequently the Aztec Capital was re-built and renamed modern day Mexico City. Just in case you were wondering.
